Indonesia Warriors - Thailand Slammers 73:63

Indonesia Warriors posted the 10th win in the ASEAN League season to remain in the third position in the ladder. They toppled visiting Thailand Slammers behind 24 points and 10 rebounds from Evan Brock (204-F-84, college: Alabama). The Slammers slipped at 5-14 record suffering the fifth loss in a row.
The hosts cleared off early in the game. They gained a 20:13 lead ten minutes into the game. The Warriors maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They registered a 41:33 halftime lead. The teams traded baskets throughout the third frame as the Warriors secured an 8-point advantage with a quarter remaining 57:49. The hosts did not allow the Slammers any closer in the final term and celebrated victory at the end. Stanley Pringle (184-PG-87, college: Penn St.) notched 12 points, while Mario Wuysang (176-PG-79) contributed 11 points for the Warriors. Christopher Garnett (211-C-80, college: Indiana SE) answered with 23 points for the Slammers. Calvin Williams (206-F-87, college: SE Missouri St.) produced 16 points and 13 boards in the loss.

Batang Gilas is back in shape as they conquered Thailand, 113-46, in the SEABA Under-16 tournament on Wednesday, May 17 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The win gave Batang Gilas a flawless 3-0 record, and they are now just a win away from securing a slot in the FIBA Asia tourney. Thailand vented its ire on Myanmar with a 102-35 shellacking Monday in the 2017 Seaba Championship. Wutipong Dasom (195-C-91) uncorked a tournament-best 40 points, outscoring the whole Burmese squad, while also hauling down 11 rebounds as the Thais bounced back from their sorry 60-59 loss to Indonesia on Sunday.
