Bangkok Cobras - Westports Dragons 84:107

Westports KL Dragons proved too good for Bangkok Cobras in todays ASEAN League game. Tiras Wade (200-F-81, agency: Interperformances, college: La-Lafayette) stepped up with 27 points and 13 rebounds to pace the visitors to the 9th win in the season. The Cobras slipped at 6-11 record after the loss.
The Dragons eased to a confident 26:13 lead at the first break. They stayed in charge throughout the second frame posting a 49:33 halftime advantage. Things got even better for the visitors in the third stanza. The Malaysian team cleared off to a 23-point distance with one period remaining. The teams unleashed 68 points in the final period however the hosts never got within striking distance. Brian Williams (208-C-87, agency: VVG Sports, college: Tennessee) posted 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Patrick Cabahug (186-G) added 17 points for the Dragons. Gentry Lewis (206-F/C-81, college: Philander Smith) notched 21 points for the Cobras. Travis George (206-PF-85) netted 18 points in the loss.

Cambodia's Dar Antony Dominic(167-PG-94) began his Sojourn in the Thailand basketball League with a win as his new team MADGOAT defeated OSK 81-78 on Saturday night. Dominic, who was unveiled as one of the ASEAN imports on June 14 was in the team 4 days later and playing as a point guard helped to inspire Madgoats to victory in the clash played at Shrewsbury. Dar's pro career starts at Nakorn Mad Goat - 7 days ago

Nakorn Phantom Mad Goat (TBL) tabbed American guard Dominic Dar. He just graduated from Northern Essex CC (JUCO). In 29 games he averaged 13.9ppg, 1.6rpg and 3.3apg last season. As mentioned above Dar is just out of the college and it will be his first season in pro basketball. He was selected to NJCAA D3 All-Region XXI 3rd Team in 2016.
