Royal Thai Navy comes back from the International tournament with 8 participating teams in Malaysia. In the game for the 5th place they lost to the home side Perak Selection and finished on the 6th place. Perak celebrated a 102:58 to end the tournament as the 5th best team. Perak made a tournament record 15 three pointers in a single game, led by sharpshooting Tong Wen Yung who had 5 treys for his 23 points. Ljubisa Vrcelj (210-C-84, college: Jacksonville) also shot 3/5 from downtown and contributed 24 points, 14 boards and 3 blocks. Wen Keong Tong (180-G-92) and Soo Eng Heng (182-G-84) added 13 and 11 points respectively. Perak led 26:16 after the first period and continued the hot streak and never looked back, increasing the lead to 52:28 during halftime. Perak seems enjoying the game and showed no mercy by extended the lead to 83:49 entering the final period. Royal Thai Navy started the tournament with the win over Indonesian Knight team 81:75. In Day 2 Philippine Far Eastern University beat Thai team 93:88 and later the winners of the tournament China Xiamen edged Royal Thai Navy 100:96.

Christien Charles (216-F/C-81, college: Villanova) stepped up with 24 points and 13 boards to lead the Slammers to the first win in the best-of-five series. The Thai team gained a 36:31 halftime advantage. The teams exchanged baskets throughout the third term as the Slammers held on to the lead. The visitors entered the fourth frame up by five points. Chris Banchero (185-PG-90, college: Seattle Pacific) helped the Blaze to erase the deficit and pull ahead 54:53 midway through the fourth frame. The teams were tied at 60 with 13 seconds remaining in regulation. But Darongpan Apiromvilaichai (185-G-85) came up with a jumper to seal the victory for the Slammers.
