Thailand Slammers - Saigon Heat 56:58

Saigon Heat registered the second straight win at ASEAN League. They surprised the Thailand Slammers on the road tonight to improve at 6-9 record in the ladder. The Heat thus continue to fight for playoff birth. The Slammers fell at 5-11 record after the loss.
The Heat marked their ambitions in the opening quarter. They outgunned the Slammers 18:9 for a comfortable advantage. The Slammers started to come back into the game slowly in the second frame. The hosts cut the deficit to 5 points at the interval 26:31. However the Heat did not allow the home team to take over in the third term. The Heat entered the final period up by 9 points 49:40. Apiromvilaichai and Calvin Williams (206-F-87, college: SE Missouri St.) put the Slammers within one point with just over a minute remaining in regulation. But the hosts could not capitalize on three missed free throws from the Heat in the dying seconds and the Vietnam team celebrated a tough win at the end. Jahmar Thorpe (198-F-84, college: Houston) provided 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Jonathan Jones (211-C-79, agency: TSS Management) added 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Heat. Calvin Williams answered with 17 points and 20 rebounds for the Slammers. Christopher Garnett (211-C-80, college: Indiana SE) provided 14 points in the losing case.
