Philippine Patriots celebrated a confident win over Thailand Slammers in ASEAN League action. Anthony Johnson (197-G/F-79, agency: Interperformances, college: La-Lafayette) came up with 23 points to pace the hosts to the 12th win in the season. The Slammers fell at 5-10 record after the loss. Philippine Patriots and Thailand Slammers stayed close throughout the first half. The hosts enjoyed a narrow 19:18 lead ten minutes into the game. The Slammers however erased the deficit and posted a 33:32 halftime lead. Things changed drastically in the third quarter. The Patriots unloaded 29 points in the period to surge ahead for an 11-point lead. The Patriots maintained the lead throughout the final stanza and cruised to the victory at the end.
