Quincy Davis
Experienced Naturalized American Power forward Quincy Davis (206-F/C-83) had an amazing evening in the last round for Pauian and that's him to receive a Usbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 33-year old power forward had a double-double of 27 points and twelve rebounds, while his team crushed Taiwan Beer (#4, 10-9) with 18-point margin 94-76. Pauian maintains the 5th position in Taiwanese SBL. Pauian is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-11 record. Davis turned to be Pauian's top player in his first season with the team. Tulane University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Davis is in league's top in points (2nd best: 14.1ppg), rebounds (4th best: 11.4rpg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 65.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old American forward Eugene Phelps (198-F-90) of KKL. Phelps impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 24 rebounds. Bad luck as KKL lost that game 62-70 to the higher-ranked Fubon Braves (#1, 14-6). This loss caused KKL to slide to the very bottom (7) position in the standings. 14 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories KKL managed to get this year. Phelps is a newcomer at KKL and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.1ppg (#1). He also registered 16.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Bryan Davis (206-C-86) of Taiwan Beer (#4). Davis showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Davis' great performance Taiwan Beer lost 76-94 to slightly lower-ranked Pauian (#5, 8-11). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Taiwan Beer needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 9 lost games. Davis has a great season in Taiwan. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.5ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 13.2rpg (4th best) and assists with 5.4apg (best passer). He also has 2.8spg and 1.8bpg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Sim Bhullar (226-C-92) of Dacin Tigers - 20 points and 18 rebounds
5. Liam McMorrow (218-C-87) of Fubon Braves - 18 points and 18 rebounds
6. Luke Nevill (218-C-86) of Bank of Taiwan - 22 points, 20 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Shih-Yuan Chou (188-G-83) of Yulon Luxgen - 25 points and 5 rebounds
8. Ching-Pang Lin (190-F/G-85) of Pauian - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Herve Lamizana (208-F/C-81) of Yulon Luxgen - 23 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Po-Chen Chou (196-SG-90) of Yulon Luxgen - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
