The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Fubon Braves as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fubon Braves smashed 4th placed Taiwan Beer at home 96-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Taiwan Beer. Fubon Braves dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Taiwan Beer's 36. They outrebounded Taiwan Beer 39-22 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Fubon Braves especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) fired 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Wei-Che Lin (182-92) chipped in 7 points and 10 assists. American center Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M) produced 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion Taiwan Beer keeps the fourth place with seven games lost. Taiwan Beer will play next round against strong Dacin Tigers trying to get back on the winning streak. Fubon Braves will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Yulon Luxgen on the road.

Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fubon Braves keep a position of league leader. Dacin Tigers at the other side dropped to the second place with five games lost. Fubon Braves will play against Yulon Luxgen (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Dacin Tigers will play against Taiwan Beer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked KKL managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of five consecutive losses on Thursday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Bank of Taiwan 106-101. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bank of Taiwan. Eugene Phelps stepped up with a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!) and 29 rebounds for the winners. At the losing side Luke Nevill responded with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 26 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. KKL maintains seventh place with 4-12 record. Loser Bank of Taiwan keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. KKL will meet higher ranked Pauian (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bank of Taiwan will play against Taiwan Beer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 13 Pauian was defeated by Yulon Luxgen 78-63.

Yulon Luxgen - Pauian 78-63

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Pauian (6-10) was defeated by third ranked Yulon Luxgen (10-6) 78-63 on Friday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Yulon Luxgen made 8 blocks. Ivorian-French power forward Herve Lamizana (208-81, college: Rutgers) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks for the winners and international Po-Chen Chou (196-90) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Yulon Luxgen players scored in double figures. At the losing side international power forward Tai-Hao Wu (203-85, college: BYU-Hawaii) responded with 9 points and 10 rebounds and international power forward Quincy Davis (206-83, college: Tulane) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yulon Luxgen maintains third place with 10-6 record having just three points less than leader Fubon Braves. Loser Pauian keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Yulon Luxgen will meet league's leader Fubon Braves in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pauian will play against KKL (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Bottom-ranked KKL managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of five consecutive losses on Thursday night. This time they won against sixth-ranked Bank of Taiwan 106-101. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bank of Taiwan. American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!) and 29 rebounds for the winners and guard Tai-Jie Wang (183-92) chipped in 17 points. At the losing side Australian center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) responded with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 26 rebounds and guard Po-Sheng Chang (185-87) scored 27 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. KKL maintains seventh place with 4-12 record.
