Bryan Davis
American Center Bryan Davis (206-C-86) put on an amazing game in the last round for Taiwan Beer, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 26 rebounds, while his team crushed KKL (#7, 3-12) with 18-point margin 76-58. Taiwan Beer maintains the 4th position in Taiwanese SBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Taiwan Beer will need more victories to improve their 8-6 record. Davis turned to be Taiwan Beer's top player in his first season with the team. Former Texas A&M University star has very solid stats this year. Davis is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.3ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 14.8rpg) and averages impressive 2.3bpg and 2.4spg.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American Eugene Phelps (198-F-90) of KKL. Phelps had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as KKL lost that game 67-79 to the higher-ranked Yulon Luxgen (#3, 9-6). KKL are still at the very bottom. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories KKL managed to get this year. Phelps is a newcomer at KKL, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.3ppg (#1). He also registered 15.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Yu-Hsuan Sung (183-G-89) of league's second-best Fubon Braves. Sung scored 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Despite Sung's great performance Fubon Braves lost 70-81 to the lower-ranked Pauian (#5, 6-9). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Fubon Braves needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 5 lost games. Sung has a very solid season. In 15 games in Taiwan he scored 11.3ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Quincy Davis (206-F/C-83) of Pauian - 13 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Kai-Yan Li (182-PG-93) of Taiwan Beer - 15 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Li-Chuan Cheng (189-G-88) of Bank of Taiwan - 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Chia-Chun Wu (177-PG-94) of Pauian - 7 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Po-Chen Chou (196-SG-90) of Yulon Luxgen - 20 points and 3 rebounds
9. Liam McMorrow (218-C-87) of Fubon Braves - 11 points and 10 rebounds
10. Sim Bhullar (226-C-92) of Dacin Tigers - 15 points and 9 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
