Bank of Taiwan (SBL) agreed terms with 24-year old American center Colby Batiste (208-109kg-88, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Elite Talent Exchange). He played last season at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Steamers (PBL) in the U.S.. In two games last year he had 9.5ppg, 9.5rpg, 2.0apg, 1.5spg and 1.0bpg.
The previous (10-11) season Batiste played at the University Louisiana at Lafayette in Sun Belt Conference in the NCAA. But in 12 games he did not score anything and had only 12 rebounds. He also played at Lake Michigan in PBL that season. In 10 games he recorded 8.0ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.5bpg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals.
Batiste just graduated from University Louisiana at Lafayette and it will be his first season as a pro.
He has played also in PBL (Charleston Gunners).
