China U18 - Syria U18 101:71

China delivered another victory at U18 Asia Championship. They knocked down Syria for the fifth win in a row at the tournament. They share the top place in Group E with South Korea. Wang Zhelin (215-C/F-94) accounted for 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge.
China eked out an 18:11 lead to take a 7-point lead after ten minutes. The margin grew at 20-point mark midway through the second quarter. China established a 45:25 halftime advantage. China stayed in charge throughout the third term. They recorded a 76:49 lead at the final intermission. China did not slow down in the fourth quarter rolling to a comfortable win at the end. Li Jinglong (195-F-95) netted 19 points, while Li Qi (198-F-95) added 17 points for the winners. Ockba Baghajati (182-G-94) answered with 22 points for Syria. Mouhammad Shahin (192-F-94) had 12 points and 8 boards in defeat.

Talk N Text Tropang Texters (PBA) signed 35-year old Syrian ex-international guard Michel Madanly (194-81). He played this summer at Champville in Lebanese Pepsi LBL. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Madanly won Saudi Arabian League championship title in 2012. Al Jaish celebrate 2015/2016 League title - 2 months ago

Al Jaish celebrated Syrian Basketball League 2015/2016 title after the team swept the Final series against Al-Karamah 3-0. In Game 1 Al Jaish won 77:62 and then added an 84-73 win. In the third game Al Jaish grabbed an 87-79 victory and the trophy of the League. Earlier in the semifinals Al Jaish overcame Al-Ittihad twice in the series.
