Sonic Boom KT signs rookie Joel Hernandez in his first year in pro basketball - Aug 9, 2018

Sonic Boom KT (KBL) strengthened their roster with addition of Dominican guard Joel Hernandez (190-82kg). Hernandez just graduated from LIU Brooklyn (NCAA). He has played there for the last five years. Hernandez helped them to win NEC Tournament. Great season indeed as he All-NEC All-Tournament MVP and voted to All-NEC 1st Team and voted to NABC NCAA D1 All-District 18 1st Team.
As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first season in pro basketball.
Hernandez received HS Bergen Record North New Jersey Player of the Year award back in 2013 at his college time.
Hernandez represented Dominican Republic at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla (Colombia) this year. His team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 4 games: 6.8ppg, 2.0rpg, FGP: 25.9%, 3PT-3 (50.0%), FT: 57.1%.

MIKYLE MCINTOSH Anyang KGC (KBL) agreed terms with 24-year old Canadian forward Mikyle McIntosh (201-106kg-94, college: Oregon). McIntosh just graduated from University of Oregon and it will be his first season as a pro. His team made it to the Pac-12 Tournament Semifinals. McIntosh was voted All-MVC 2nd Team in 2017 at his college time. McIntosh represented Canada at the World Championships U19 in Prague (Czech Republic) five years ago. Defending champion South Korea breezed past Mongolia 108-73 for its second straight victory in men's basketball at the Asian Games on Thursday.
