Aaron Haynes
Experienced American Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Goyang Orions and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 47.
The 35-year old forward had a double-double of 24 points and ten rebounds, while his team edged out Mobis Phoebus (#4, 27-25) 74-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Goyang Orions maintains the 2nd position in South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Goyang Orions will need more victories to improve their 34-17 record. In the team's last game Haynes had a remarkable 61.1% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Goyang Orions and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Boise State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Haynes is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.0ppg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 55.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old American forward Wendell McKines (198-F-88) of Dongbu Promy. McKines impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Dongbu Promy to edge slightly lower-ranked ET Land (#6, 24-28) by 6 points 77-71. Dongbu Promy's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 25-26 record. McKines is a newcomer at Dongbu Promy and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American David Simon (208-C-82) of top-ranked Anyang KGC. Simon scored 21 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Anyang KGC, leading his team to a 73-66 win against the lower-ranked KCC Egis (#10, 16-36). Anyang KGC confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 36 victories and 15 lost games. Simon has a great season in South Korea. After 51 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 9.8rpg (9th best). He also has 2.2bpg and FGP: 58.4%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. James Kelly (201-F-93) of ET Land - 20 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Young-Hwan Kim (195-F-84) of Sonic Boom KT - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists
6. Ira Clark (203-C/F-75) of KCC Egis - 20 points and 11 rebounds
7. Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of Samsung Th. - 21 points and 19 rebounds
8. Nate Miller (193-G-87) of Mobis Phoebus - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Andre Emmett (196-F-82) of KCC Egis - 30 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Gregory Stevenson (197-F-78) of Samsung Th. - 20 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
