Herbert Hill
Ulsan Mobis Phoebus (KBL) added to their roster 33-year old American forward Herbert Hill (208-84, college: Providence). He just played at Panteras in Venezuelan LPB league. Hill managed to play in four leagues in four countries this year (!!!). In 5 LPB games he recorded 8.0ppg and 5.6rpg. He also played earlier that season for Tadamon in Lebanese Pepsi LBL where in two LPB games he averaged 10.0ppg and 10.5rpg. The other team Hill played shortly was Saigon Heat in Vietnamese league. In two LPB games he had very impressive stats: 17.0ppg, 9.0rpg and 3.0bpg. Another team he played briefly was Sonic Boom. In 5 LPB games he got remarkable 16.2ppg, 9.6rpg, 1.4apg and 1.2bpg.
In 2007 Hill was drafted by Utah Jazz (NBA) in second round (55th overall). He attended Providence College and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Hill's team won Korean KBL Regular Season in 2016. He was selected to Korean KBL All-Star Game back in 2012.
Hill is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in nine different countries. Hill has played previously professionally also in Bahrain (Al Muharraq), China, France, Korea (Samsung Thunders, KCC Egis, ET Land Elephants, Sonic Boom KT and Dongbu Promy), Philippines, Puerto Rico (Caciques), Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal), Lebanon (Champville) and Venezuela (Gigantes).
The scouts decsribe him following way: (by Matthew Maurer for NBADraft.net in 2007)
Shows good mobility, running the court with ease. Has worked hard to improve his touch around the basket. Possesses great hands, capable of catching most passes without fumbling or losing control of the ball. Solid rebounder who uses his long arms and hands to tip balls out of position to himself. Solid finisher where he wastes little time, keeps the ball high and goes right up.
This lack of strength can work against him when he faces physical forwards limiting his ability to get good position in the post. Can be stunted by double teams as he doesnt always read the defense quick enough to react
