27-year old forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for Samsung Th. and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 45.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 15 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Goyang Orions (#2, 32-17) 79-86. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Samsung Th. maintains the 3rd position in South Korean league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Samsung Th. will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 31-18 record. Ratliffe turned to be Samsung Th.'s top player in his first season with the team. University of Missouri graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ratliffe is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.5ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.1rpg) and averages solid 1.2bpg and 65.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was James Kelly (201-F-93) of ET Land. He is American forward in his first season at ET Land. In the last game Kelly recorded impressive double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as ET Land was edged by the higher-ranked Goyang Orions (#2, 32-17) 65-63. ET Land managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 24-25 record. Kelly is a newcomer at ET Land and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.2ppg (#5). He also registered 9.9 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Sek-Eun Oh (200-C-87) of league's leader Anyang KGC. Oh showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Anyang KGC, leading his team to a 81-66 easy win against #4 ranked Mobis Phoebus in a game of the week. Anyang KGC confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 34 victories and 15 lost games. Oh has a very solid season. In 49 games in South Korea he scored 13.9ppg. He also has 8.4rpg, 3.5apg and FGP: 54.0%.

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Asociacion Quimsa Santiago del Estero (LigaA) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old American center Chris Daniels (205-120kg-84, college: Texas A&M-CC). He played atSonic Boom KT in South Korean KBL league. The most of last season Daniels spent at Al Riyadi (Pepsi LBL) in Lebanese league where in 34 games he recorded 13.9ppg, 8.4rpg and 1.6apg. 32-year old power forward Rodrique Benson (207-F/C-84) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Dongbu Promy and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 48. He had a double-double of 34 points and 19 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Mobis Phoebus (#4, 28-25) 73-81. Dongbu Promy maintains the 5th position in South Korean league.
