Andre Emmett
Experienced American Andre Emmett (196-F-82) had an amazing evening in the last round for KCC Egis and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 41.
The 34-year old forward had the game-high 32 points adding five rebounds and four assists for KCC Egis in his team's victory, helping them to beat Dongbu Promy (#5, 24-22) 76-67. KCC Egis maintains the 9th position in South Korean KBL. KCC Egis is currently ranked second from the bottom. They need more victories to improve their 16-30 record. In the team's last game Emmett had a remarkable 52.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be KCC Egis' top player in his first season with the team. Texas Tech University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Emmett is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.0ppg. Emmett is in league's top in and averages solid 50.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old Central African power forward James Mays (206-F/C-86) of LG Sakers. Mays impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as LG Sakers lost that game 73-81 to the higher-ranked Goyang Orions (#1, 30-15). LG Sakers managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 19-26 record. Mays is a newcomer at LG Sakers and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.2ppg (#7). He also registered 11.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of Sonic Boom KT (#10). Williams scored 20 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Williams' great performance Sonic Boom KT lost 72-77 to the higher-ranked ET Land (#6, 22-23). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Sonic Boom KT not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 31 games, recording just fourteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Williams could try to bring Sonic Boom KT's a little bit higher in the standings. Williams has individually a great season in South Korea. After 29 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.1rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Rodrique Benson (207-F/C-84) of Dongbu Promy - 18 points and 15 rebounds
5. Seung-Hyun Lee (201-C-92) of Goyang Orions - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Terrico White (196-G-90) of SK Knights - 28 points and 6 rebounds
7. Victor Cuthbert (197-F-83) of ET Land - 17 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Kyo-Chang Song (200-F-96) of KCC Egis - 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Young-Hwan Kim (195-F-84) of Sonic Boom KT - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Ira Clark (203-C/F-75) of KCC Egis - 19 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Coincidentally all visitors won their games. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with derby games and games ending by tiny margin. The most interesting game of round 13 was a home defeat of 8th ranked LG Sakers (6-9) to seventh ranked Mobis Phoebus (7-8) 70-61.
