Aaron Haynes
35-year old forward Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) had a great game in the last round for Goyang Orions and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 39.
He had the game-high 28 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Goyang Orions in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Anyang KGC (#1, 30-14) 89-86. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Goyang Orions maintains the 3rd position in South Korean league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Goyang Orions will need more victories to improve their 29-15 record. In the team's last game Haynes had a remarkable 61.1% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Goyang Orions and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Boise State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Haynes is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.8ppg) and averages solid 1.0bpg and 54.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Dong-Geun Yang (181-G-81) of Mobis Phoebus. He is former international guard in his 13th season at Mobis Phoebus. In the last game Yang recorded impressive 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Of course Mobis Phoebus cruised to a 84-73 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked KCC Egis (#9, 14-30). This victory allowed Mobis Phoebus to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 23-20 record is not bad at all. Yang is one of the most experienced players at Mobis Phoebus and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward James Mays (206-F/C-86) of LG Sakers (#7). Mays showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Mays' great performance LG Sakers lost 76-77 to the lower-ranked Sonic Boom KT (#10, 13-30). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of LG Sakers ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 24 games, recording just nineteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mays could help LG Sakers to bring them higher in the standings. Mays has a great season in South Korea. After 42 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 12.0rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of Samsung Th. - 23 points and 14 rebounds
5. David Simon (208-C-82) of Anyang KGC - 22 points and 7 rebounds
6. Il-Young Heo (197-F-85) of Goyang Orions - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Wendell McKines (198-F-88) of Dongbu Promy - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of Sonic Boom KT - 18 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
9. O'Darien Bassett (189-G-86) of Goyang Orions - 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Andre Emmett (196-F-82) of KCC Egis - 24 points and 5 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
