Naturalized American Forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Samsung Th., receiving a Court Side Player of the Week award for round 37.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Sonic Boom KT (#10, 12-29) 90-85. Samsung Th. maintains the 2nd position in South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Samsung Th. will need more victories to improve their 28-14 record. Ratliffe turned to be Samsung Th.'s top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Missouri star has very solid stats this year. Ratliffe is in league's top in points (6th best: 22.9ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.0rpg) and averages impressive 1.4bpg and 65.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 34-year old American Andre Emmett (196-F-82) of KCC Egis. Emmett had a very good evening with 36 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as KCC Egis lost that game 79-86 to the higher-ranked Dongbu Promy (#4, 23-19). KCC Egis managed to keep the same 9th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 14-28 record. Emmett is a newcomer at KCC Egis, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.2ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 7.4rpg and 3.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Keifer Sykes (183-PG-93) of league's top team Anyang KGC. Sykes scored 29 points and passed six assists. He was a key player of Anyang KGC, leading his team to a 95-76 easy win against the lower-ranked LG Sakers (#6, 19-22). Anyang KGC confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 29 victories and 13 lost games. Sykes has a very solid season. In 42 games in South Korea he scored 13.8ppg. He also has 4.4apg and FGP: 55.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. David Simon (208-C-82) of Anyang KGC - 23 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) of Goyang Orions - 16 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Ung Heo (183-G-93) of Dongbu Promy - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Michael Craig (196-G/F-91) of Samsung Th. - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Victor Cuthbert (197-F-83) of ET Land - 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists

10. Sek-Eun Oh (200-C-87) of Anyang KGC - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Court Side. Court Side is the global leader in basketball management, and is widely regarded as the most dynamic and innovative company of its kind. It was the first Basketball Agency to launch its own website, and the first to have its own database. Court Side has more agents and manpower within its organization, than any other competitor, and its international network of basketball contacts is still unparalleled.
