24-year old center Seung-Hyun Lee (201-C-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for Goyang Orions and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 36.
He had the game-high 33 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Goyang Orions in his team's victory, helping them to beat Samsung Th. (#1, 27-13) 96-90. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Goyang Orions maintains the 3rd position in South Korean league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Goyang Orions will need more victories to improve their 26-14 record. In the team's last game Lee had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Goyang Orions, through which he has constantly improved. Lee has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 2.2apg) and averages solid 51.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of top-ranked Samsung Th.. He is naturalized American forward in his first season at Samsung Th.. In the last game Ratliffe recorded impressive double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Samsung Th. lost that game 90-96 to slightly lower-ranked Goyang Orions (#3, 26-14). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Samsung Th. still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team has currently 27-13 record. Ratliffe is a newcomer at Samsung Th. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.9ppg (#6). He also registered 13.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of Sonic Boom KT (#10). Williams scored 28 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Sonic Boom KT, leading his team to a 83-78 win against the higher-ranked Mobis Phoebus (#5, 21-19). Sonic Boom KT can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 11-28 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Williams he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Williams has individually a great season in South Korea. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.8rpg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Andre Emmett (196-F-82) of KCC Egis - 32 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Rodrique Benson (207-F/C-84) of Dongbu Promy - 18 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Keifer Sykes (183-PG-93) of Anyang KGC - 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) of Goyang Orions - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Jung-Hyun Lee (191-F-87) of Anyang KGC - 23 points and 4 assists
9. Jong-Hyun Lee (206-C-94) of Mobis Phoebus - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Eric Wise (198-F-90) of Mobis Phoebus - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
