Benson
Experienced American Rodrique Benson (207-F/C-84) had a very impressive game in the last round for Dongbu Promy and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 35.
The 32-year old power forward had a double-double of 21 points and thirteen rebounds, while his team edged out SK Knights (#8, 16-24) 82-78. Dongbu Promy maintains the 5th position in South Korean KBL. Dongbu Promy is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 21-19 record. It's Benson's second year at Dongbu Promy and it's hard to imagine this team without him. University of California graduate has very impressive stats this year. Benson leads league in rebounds with 13.2rpg. Benson is in league's top in and averages solid 52.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old former international guard Chan-Hee Park (190-G-87) of ET Land. Park impressed basketball fans with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as ET Land lost that game 72-79 to the higher-ranked Samsung Th. (#1, 27-12). ET Land managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 18-21 record. Park is a newcomer at ET Land and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was former international forward Bu Kyung Choi (200-F-89) of SK Knights (#8). Choi scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds. Despite Choi's great performance SK Knights lost 78-82 to the higher-ranked Dongbu Promy (#5, 21-19). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of SK Knights ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 24 games, recording just sixteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Choi could help SK Knights to bring them higher in the standings. Choi has a very solid season. In 8 games in South Korea he scored 10.6ppg.

9. Jong-Hyun Lee (206-C-94) of Mobis Phoebus - 5 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Keifer Sykes (183-PG-93) of Anyang KGC - 15 points and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Ankara D.S.I. (TBL) added to their roster 24-year old American point guard Keifer Sykes (183-82kg-93, college: Green Bay). He played last season at Anyang KGC in South Korean KBL league. In 58 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.1ppg, 2.9rpg, 4.6apg and 1.3spg. Sykes won Korean KBL championship title. Dongbu Promy (KBL) added to their roster 26-year old American point guard Deonte Burton (183-86kg-91, college: Nevada). He played last season at Lille Metropole Basket in French ProB. In 33 games he recorded 11.2ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.8apg. Burton has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015. Inchon ET Land Elephants (KBL) signed 26-year old American point guard Josh Selby (188-88kg-91, college: Kansas, agency: HMS). He played last season at Maccabi Kiryat Gat in Israeli Winner League. In 20 games he was third best scorer with impressive 17.5ppg and averaged 2.9rpg, 4.4apg and 1.1spg.
