Naturalized American Forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Samsung Th. and that's him to receive a Usbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 32.
The 27-year old forward had a double-double of 29 points and nineteen rebounds, while his team beat Sonic Boom KT (#10, 9-27) 74-67. It allowed Samsung Th. to jump to the first place in the South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Samsung Th. has a very solid 25-11 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Ratliffe turned to be Samsung Th.'s top player in his first season with the team. University of Missouri graduate has very impressive stats this year. Ratliffe is in league's top in points (5th best: 23.1ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 12.9rpg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 67.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 34-year old American forward Andre Emmett (196-F-82) of KCC Egis. Emmett impressed basketball fans with 34 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as KCC Egis lost that game 70-79 to slightly higher-ranked SK Knights (#8, 14-23). KCC Egis managed to keep the same 9th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-25 record. Emmett is a newcomer at KCC Egis and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.8ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 6.6rpg and 3.1apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Rodrique Benson (207-F/C-84) of Dongbu Promy (#4). Benson scored 13 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Benson's great performance Dongbu Promy lost 66-81 to slightly lower-ranked ET Land (#6, 18-18). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Dongbu Promy needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 20 victories and 16 lost games. Benson has a great season in South Korea. After 36 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.2rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Sek-Eun Oh (200-C-87) of Anyang KGC - 16 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
5. James Mays (206-F/C-86) of LG Sakers - 20 points and 14 rebounds
6. Kyo-Chang Song (200-F-96) of KCC Egis - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Jong-Hyun Lee (206-C-94) of Mobis Phoebus - 7 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Eric Wise (198-F-90) of Mobis Phoebus - 17 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
9. David Simon (208-C-82) of Anyang KGC - 20 points and 11 rebounds
10. Andre Emmett (196-F-82) of KCC Egis - 29 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
