American Power forward Rodrique Benson (207-F/C-84) had an amazing evening in the last round for Dongbu Promy, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 31.
The 32-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Sonic Boom KT (#10, 9-26) 87-81. Dongbu Promy maintains the 4th position in South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Dongbu Promy will need more victories to improve their 20-15 record. It's Benson's second year at Dongbu Promy and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former University of California star has very solid stats this year. Benson leads league in rebounds with 13.2rpg. Benson is in league's top in and averages impressive 51.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old international center Jong-Kyu Kim (207-C-91) of LG Sakers. Kim had a very good evening with 30 points and 6 rebounds. It was enough for LG Sakers to edge the higher-ranked Goyang Orions (#3, 23-13) 97-94. LG Sakers' 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 16-19 record. Kim is one of the most experienced players at LG Sakers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) of Goyang Orions (#3). Haynes showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. Despite Haynes' great performance Goyang Orions lost 94-97 to the lower-ranked LG Sakers (#7, 16-19). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Goyang Orions needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 23 victories and 13 lost games. Haynes has a great season in South Korea. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.1ppg (best scorer). He also has 1.2bpg and FGP: 55.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Chan-Hee Park (190-G-87) of ET Land - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists
5. Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of Samsung Th. - 17 points, 18 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Dong-Wook Kim (194-F-81) of Goyang Orions - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Terrico White (196-G-90) of SK Knights - 29 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of Sonic Boom KT - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Wendell McKines (198-F-88) of Dongbu Promy - 23 points and 8 rebounds
10. Dong Lim (198-F-90) of Samsung Th. - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
