Rhodes
31-year old power forward Charles Rhodes (203-F/C-85) put on an amazing game in the last round for Mobis Phoebus and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 27.
He had a double-double of 27 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Goyang Orions (#3, 21-11) 71-64. Mobis Phoebus maintains the 6th position in South Korean league. Mobis Phoebus is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 15-16 record. In the team's last game Rhodes had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Mobis Phoebus' top player in his first season with the team. Mississippi State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rhodes is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.6ppg), rebounds (5th best: 11.3rpg) and averages solid 1.9bpg and 52.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of top-ranked Samsung Th.. He is naturalized American forward in his first season at Samsung Th.. In the last game Ratliffe recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Samsung Th. lost that game 73-92 to the lower-ranked LG Sakers (#7, 13-18). Samsung Th. managed to keep the same 1st spot in the standings. His team has currently 22-9 record. Ratliffe is a newcomer at Samsung Th. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.1ppg (#4). He also registered 12.4 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of Sonic Boom KT (#10). Williams scored 26 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Sonic Boom KT, leading his team to a 87-83 win against slightly higher-ranked SK Knights (#9, 10-21). Sonic Boom KT can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 8-23 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Williams he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Williams has individually a great season in South Korea. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.7ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 12.5rpg (2nd best). He also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 57.8%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Rodrique Benson (207-F/C-84) of Dongbu Promy - 19 points, 18 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Young-Hwan Kim (195-F-84) of LG Sakers - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
6. David Simon (208-C-82) of Anyang KGC - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Victor Cuthbert (197-F-83) of ET Land - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Wendell McKines (198-F-88) of Dongbu Promy - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) of Goyang Orions - 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Won-Hyeok Choi (183-F-92) of SK Knights - 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
