Experienced American Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sonic Boom KT and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 30-year old had the game-high 29 points adding six rebounds for Sonic Boom KT in his team's victory, helping them to crush Goyang Orions (#3, 21-10) with 16-point margin 94-78. Sonic Boom KT maintains the 10th position in South Korean KBL. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Sonic Boom KT have already lost 23 games and recorded just seven victories. Williams turned to be Sonic Boom KT's top player in his first season with the team. Ohio University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams is in league's top in points (9th best: 20.4ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 12.6rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 57.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 35-year old American forward Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) of Goyang Orions. Haynes impressed basketball fans with 34 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Goyang Orions lost that game 78-94 to the lower-ranked Sonic Boom KT (#10, 7-23). Goyang Orions managed to keep the same 3rd spot in the standings. His team's 21-10 record is not bad at all. Haynes is well-known by Goyang Orions fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.4ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 10.0rpg and 4.7apg.

The third best performed player last round was American forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of top-ranked Samsung Th.. Ratliffe scored 24 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Ratliffe's great performance Samsung Th. lost 79-89 to #3 ranked Goyang Orions. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Samsung Th. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 22 victories and 8 lost games. Ratliffe has a great season in South Korea. After 30 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 12.4rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.3bpg and FGP: 67.1%. Ricardo Ratliffe has also South Korean passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Leo Lyons (206-F-87) of KCC Egis - 21 points, 23 rebounds and 6 assists
5. Leo Lyons (206-F-87) of KCC Egis - 28 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Sun-Hyung Kim (187-G-88) of SK Knights - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Victor Cuthbert (197-F-83) of ET Land - 14 points and 11 rebounds
8. Rodrique Benson (207-F/C-84) of Dongbu Promy - 16 points and 14 rebounds

10. Ivan Aska (201-F-90) of ET Land - 25 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
