Ratliffe
Naturalized American Forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Samsung Th., receiving a Usbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 16 rebounds, while his team edged out SK Knights (#9, 9-19) 94-90. It allowed Samsung Th. to consolidate first place in the South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Samsung Th. has a very solid 22-7 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Ratliffe turned to be Samsung Th.'s top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Missouri star has very solid stats this year. Ratliffe is in league's top in points (7th best: 22.9ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 12.3rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg and 67.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 34-year old American David Simon (208-C-82) of league's second-best Anyang KGC. Simon had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Anyang KGC cruised to a 77-70 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Sonic Boom KT (#10, 6-23). Anyang KGC's second position in the standings has not changed. His team's 21-8 record is not bad at all. Simon is a newcomer at Anyang KGC, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.7ppg (#4). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Rodrique Benson (207-F/C-84) of Dongbu Promy (#4). Benson showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, fifteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Dongbu Promy, leading his team to a 88-79 win against the lower-ranked LG Sakers (#7, 11-17). Dongbu Promy needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 17 victories and 12 lost games. Benson has a great season in South Korea. After 29 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.8rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Leo Lyons (206-F-87) of KCC Egis - 28 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Sun-Hyung Kim (187-G-88) of SK Knights - 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Ivan Aska (201-F-90) of ET Land - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Jae-Seok Jang (205-C-91) of Goyang Orions - 17 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Leon Williams (203-C/F-86) of Sonic Boom KT - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Victor Cuthbert (197-F-83) of ET Land - 8 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of Samsung Th. - 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
