American forward Jasper Johnson (203-F-83) had a great game in the last round for Sonic Boom KT, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 13 rebounds, while his team edged out ET Land (#3, 20-11) 65-62. Sonic Boom KT is placed at 5th position in South Korean KBL. Sonic Boom KT is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 15-17 record. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Sonic Boom KT's top player in his first season with the team. Former Delta State University star has very solid stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in points (3rd best: 18.9ppg), rebounds (9th best: 8.2rpg) and averages impressive 52.1% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old Belizean Leon Williams (203-F/C-86) of Goyang Orions. Williams had a very good evening with 30 points and 7 rebounds. It was enough for Goyang Orions to edge slightly lower-ranked LG Sakers (#7, 13-18) 78-74. This victory allowed Goyang Orions to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 14-17 record. Williams is a newcomer at Goyang Orions, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.5ppg (#6). He also registered 11.9 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Trinidad and Tobago forward Kibwe Trim (208-F/C-84, agency: Top Notch Sports) of Anyang KGC (#4). Trim scored 17 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Anyang KGC, leading his team to a 78-57 easy win against the lower-ranked KCC Egis (#10, 5-26). Anyang KGC needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 16 victories and 15 lost games. Trim has a very solid season. In 30 games in South Korea he scored 5.9ppg. He also has 4.6rpg and FGP: 66.7%.

Other top performing players last week:

9. Woo-Sub Yaung (185-G-85) of LG Sakers - 25 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
