Williams
26-year old power forward Leon Williams (203-F/C-86) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Goyang Orions and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 23.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Sonic Boom KT (13-17) 74-62. Goyang Orions is placed at 7th position in South Korean league. Goyang Orions is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 13-17 record. Williams turned to be Goyang Orions' top player in his first season with the team. Ohio University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Williams. Williams is in league's top in points (6th best: 17.1ppg) and averages solid 57.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jasper Johnson (201-C-83) of Sonic Boom KT. He is American center in his first season at Sonic Boom KT. In the last game Johnson recorded impressive double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Sonic Boom KT lost that game 62-74 to slightly higher-ranked Goyang Orions (13-17). This loss caused Sonic Boom KT to drop to 8th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 13-17 record. Johnson is a newcomer at Sonic Boom KT and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.3ppg (#4). He also registered 8.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) of league's second-best Mobis Phoebus. Ratliffe scored 20 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). Despite Ratliffe's great performance Mobis Phoebus lost 70-71 to #1 ranked SK Knights. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Mobis Phoebus needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 21 victories and 9 lost games. Ratliffe has a great season in South Korea. After 30 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.1ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 9.4rpg (4th best). He also has 1.5bpg and FGP: 61.3%.

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
