Experienced American Tina Thompson (188-F-75, agency: Merit Sports) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Woori Hansae and that's her to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 37-year old forward had a double-double of 25 points and ten rebounds, while her team edged out KB Stars (#3, 7-8) 68-65. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Woori Hansae to consolidate first place in the South Korean WKBL. Woori Hansae have a solid 12-3 record. In the team's last game Thompson had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. She turned to be Woori Hansae's top player in her first season with the team. Tina Thompson averages this season 18.8ppg and 10.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 32-year old international Jung-Ja Sin (185-C/F-80) of Winnus. Sin impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Winnus lost that game 55-61 to slightly higher-ranked Bichumi (#4, 7-8). Winnus managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-10 record. Sin is one of the most experienced players at Winnus and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.9ppg (#4). Her other stats are also decent: 10.9rpg and 5.1apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Amber Harris (195-C/F-88) of Bichumi (#4). Harris showcased her all-around game by recording 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the last round. She was a key player of Bichumi, leading her team to a 61-55 win against slightly lower-ranked Winnus (#5, 5-10). The chances of Bichumi ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Harris could help Bichumi to bring them higher in the standings. Harris has a very solid season. In 5 games in South Korea she scored 22.0ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Lynetta Kizer (193-C-90) of KB Stars - 21 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Nakia Sanford (194-C-76) of One FX - 12 points and 12 rebounds
6. Young-Hui Lim (178-F-80) of Woori Hansae - 22 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Youn-Hoa Lee (178-F-83) of S-Birds - 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Yoon-Ah Choi (169-G-85) of S-Birds - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists
9. Yeong-Hui Jin (176-F-88) of KB Stars - 14 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Yun-Ha Heo (183-C-79) of One FX - 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
