Juan
Pattillo
American Juan Pattillo (197-F-88) had an amazing evening in the last round for Anyang KGC and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 24-year old forward had a double-double of 40 points and ten rebounds, while his team beat Dongbu Promy (#9, 4-10) 89-79. Anyang KGC maintains the 4th position in South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Anyang KGC will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. Pattillo turned to be Anyang KGC's top player in his first season with the team. Western Kentucky University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Pattillo is league's best scorer averaging so far 21.0ppg. Pattillo is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 8.9rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 54.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 37-year old American Ira Clark (203-C/F-75) of LG Sakers. Clark impressed basketball fans with 29 points and 9 rebounds. It was enough for LG Sakers to edge slightly lower-ranked Sonic Boom KT (#8, 6-8) by 5 points 71-66. This victory allowed LG Sakers to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-7 record. Clark is a newcomer at LG Sakers and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Eric Sandrin (206-C/F-78) of Dongbu Promy (#9). Sandrin showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, fourteen rebounds (!!!) and eight assists in the last round. Despite Sandrin's great performance Dongbu Promy lost 79-89 to the higher-ranked Anyang KGC (#4, 9-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Dongbu Promy can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Sandrin he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Sandrin has individually a great season in South Korea. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.1ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 6.8rpg (8th best). Eric Sandrin has also South Korean passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Victor Thomas (201-F-79) of Dongbu Promy - 27 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Leon Williams (203-F/C-86) of Goyang Orions - 22 points and 15 rebounds
6. Bu Kyung Choi (200-F-89) of SK Knights - 12 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Darian Townes (208-F/C-84) of Samsung Th. - 16 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Aaron Haynes (201-F-81) of SK Knights - 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Carlos Powell (199-F-83) of ET Land - 26 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
