South Korean KBL round 7 best performance: Ji-Hoon Ham - Nov 3, 2012

Former international Ji-Hoon Ham (198-C/F-84) put on an amazing game in the last round for Mobis Phoebus, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Anyang KGC (6-3) 73-64. Mobis Phoebus is placed at 4th position in South Korean KBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Mobis Phoebus will need more victories to improve their 6-3 record. Ham has many years of experience at Mobis Phoebus, through which he has constantly improved. Ji-Hoon Ham has solid league stats. He is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 5.4apg) and averages impressive 56.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 28-year old American Rodrique Benson (207-F/C-84) of LG Sakers. Benson had a very good evening with a double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as LG Sakers lost that game 77-87 to the higher-ranked SK Knights (#1, 7-2). LG Sakers managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Benson is a newcomer at LG Sakers, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Mobis Phoebus' star - American forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89). Ratliffe scored 20 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Ratliffe's great performance Mobis Phoebus lost 62-66 to #3 ranked Goyang Orions. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Mobis Phoebus needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 6 victories and 3 lost games. Ratliffe has a great season in South Korea. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.8rpg (6th best). He also has 1.2bpg and FGP: 51.4%.

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Goyang Orions (KBL) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 34-year old American (has also Ivorian passport) guard Doron Perkins (189-83kg-83, college: Santa Clara). He played most recently at Naft Abadan in Iranian Superleague. In 29 games he recorded 12.3ppg, 5.9rpg, 3.5apg and 2.0spg last season. Perkins helped them to make it to the final. Ankara D.S.I. (TBL) added to their roster 24-year old American point guard Keifer Sykes (183-82kg-93, college: Green Bay). He played last season at Anyang KGC in South Korean KBL league. In 58 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.1ppg, 2.9rpg, 4.6apg and 1.3spg. Sykes won Korean KBL championship title. Dongbu Promy adds Burton to their roster, ex Lille - 27 days ago
Dongbu Promy (KBL) added to their roster 26-year old American point guard Deonte Burton (183-86kg-91, college: Nevada). He played last season at Lille Metropole Basket in French ProB. In 33 games he recorded 11.2ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.8apg. Burton has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015.
