The KT Sonic Boom won their second consecutive game and had their highest offensive output of the season with an 88-75 victory over the Changwon LG Sakers Saturday afternoon.

KT's veterans stepped up, led by Cho Dong-Hyun (188-G-76) and Cho Sung-Min's (197-F-83) 17 points, while ex-LG Saker Seo Jang-Hoon (207-C-74) dropped 14 on his old club. Forward Jasper Johnson (201-C-83, college: Delta St.) chipped in 13 points with five rebounds and four assists.

After a sluggish first quarter which KT led 16-13, KT went on the offensive and scored 26 points each in the second and third quarter, building up a 13 point lead. LG's Kim Yong-Hwan (195-F-84) hit a three with 1:34 left in the third to cut the lead to 64-55, but KT rebounded to go on a 10-3 run to put the game out of reach.

KT finished shooting 56% from the field, including 9-16 from 3-point range and 19 of 20 from the free throw line, while LG shot 49% from the field and 12/17 from the line.

Ira Clark (203-C/F-75, college: Texas) led all scorers with 18 points, while Rod Benson (207-F/C-84, college: California) scored six, with seven rebounds and four assists.

New KT import Bryan Davis (206-F-86, agency: N.E.T., college: Texas A&M) played a very effective 17 minutes, scoring five points, while adding three assists and two blocks.

Changwon LG Sakers (KBL) added to their roster 30-year old American (has also Central Africa passport) power forward James Mays (206-104kg-86, college: Clemson). He played last summer at Shaanxi Wolves in Chinese NBL league. In 28 games he recorded very impressive stats: 29.0ppg, 13.0rpg, 2.6apg and 2.2spg. Mays helped them to win the regular season. South Korea KBL round 1 best performance: Ricardo Ratliffe - 2 days ago

Naturalized American Forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Samsung Th., receiving a Player of the Week award for round 1. The 27-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Mobis Phoebus (#10, 0-2)88-73. It allowed Samsung Th. to take over top position in the South Korea KBL. KBL Round 1: Anyang KGC loses to Samsung Thunders - 3 days ago

The Regular Season in KBL just started. The most important game of round 1 took place in Seoul where Samsung Thunders crushed Anyang KGC (1-1) 114-91 on Tuesday night. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 114-91.
