Rod Benson (207-F/C-84, college: California) was a one-man wrecking crew Saturday afternoon as the Changwon LG Sakers defeated KCC Egis 66-63.

Benson scored 11 points and added 24 rebounds, eight assists, three steals and a block for LG to break a two game losing streak. Park Rae-Hun (192-F-89) added 18 points, and Kim Yong-Hwan (195-F-84) added 14.

Roh Seung-joon led KCC with 16 points, while import Andre Brown (206-F/C-81, agency: Interperformances, college: De Paul) had a double double with 12 points and 12 rebounds and two steals.

KCC drops to 1-6 with the loss.

Changwon LG Sakers (KBL) added to their roster 30-year old American (has also Central Africa passport) power forward James Mays (206-104kg-86, college: Clemson). He played last summer at Shaanxi Wolves in Chinese NBL league. In 28 games he recorded very impressive stats: 29.0ppg, 13.0rpg, 2.6apg and 2.2spg. Mays helped them to win the regular season. South Korea KBL round 1 best performance: Ricardo Ratliffe - 2 days ago

Naturalized American Forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-F-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Samsung Th., receiving a Player of the Week award for round 1. The 27-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Mobis Phoebus (#10, 0-2)88-73. It allowed Samsung Th. to take over top position in the South Korea KBL.
