U17 World Championship: Lithuania survive thriller against South Korea - Jun 30, 2012

Lithuania opened win count at U17 World Championship. The hosts had to survive overtime drama to edge South Korea. The victory propelled Lithuania at 1-1 record, while South Korea fell at 0-2 record in Group B. Gediminas Zalalis (205-C-95) posted 27 points and 13 boards to lead the Baltic team to the vital win.
South Korea jumped into the drivers seat in the opening quarter. They grabbed a 26:22 lead at the first break. The teams exchanged baskets throughout high-flying second frame. South Korea secured a 57:53 halftime lead. Grabauskas drew things level at 63 midway through the third term. Edvinas Seskus (192-G/F-95) finally put Lithuania in front but South Korea quickly responded. They eked out a 78:76 lead with one quarter to go in regulation. The lead changed hands for several times throughout intense fourth period. The Korean team gained a 98:93 advantage late in regulation. However Ernestas Serkevicius (187-PG-95) and Gediminas Zalalis drew things level at 100 at the end of regulation sending the game into overtime. Gediminas Zalalis and Edvinas Seskus combined for 18 points in the extra period to lead the hosts to the victory. Edvinas Seskus finished with 25 points and 15 boards, while Ernestas Serkevicius added 16 points for the winning side. Heo Hoon (181-G-95) answered with game-high 37 points for South Korea. An Youngjun (95) had 30 points in the loss.

Korean NT 16 men roster for Asian Basketball Championship - May 27, 2013

Korean Basketball Association announced men's senior team 16 men roster for Asian Basketball Championship. Coach Yoo JaeHak selected 16 players including KBL regular season MVP Kim Sung-hyung and KBL Finals MVP Yang Dong-geun.
