The Wonju Dongbu Promy won the rights to sign naturalized Korean Lee Seung-Joon (206-F/C-78, college: Seattle Pacific) to a three year contract Monday, beating out Seoul SK Knights. With the addition of Sadrin the Promy appear to have filled a huge hole left by starting forward Yoon Ho-Young, who will begin his military service and miss the next season and a half. Sandrin averaged 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists last season, so his offense will help Wonju as veteran Kim Joo-Sungs skills continue to be in decline.
Now that the fates of the three naturalized Korean free agents has been decided the next big step for KBL teams will be the foreigner draft. This season teams will be able to have 2 foreigners on their roster, and it appears that there will be gaurentee that teams will be able to retain the foreigners they had in previous seasons.
