Last season the Wonju Dongbu Promy were a single jumpshot short of pushing the KBL finals to a seventh game. Their struggle all season had been consistant three-point shooting and despite shooting guard Hwang Jin-Won's affinity for taking 3s the team had no legitimate threat. One of the main reasons for this was that they lost all-star shooting guard Lee Kwang-Jae (188-G/F-84) to the army and rookie Ahn Jae-Wook (175-G-87) was slow to develop. What a difference a year makes.

This season Hwang shot better and a few weeks into the season Ahn seemed to hit his stride and was playing substantially better than last year. There was a strecth of three or four games where Ahn led the team and was the key to their victories. The team has now dominated this season losing only 7 times and still perfect in 2012. Furthermore, Lee Kwang-Jae has returned and looks like he hasn't missed a beat. In his second game back with the team he shot 5 for 8 from 3-point range. The Promy have clinched the top seed in the league and have the luxury of going into the second round of the playoffs well rested. Between their dominant record, roster stability, and now the return of the one thing they were lacking the Promy are definitely in a position where anything less than a championship would be considered a failure.

SK Knights - DB Promy 80-77 SK Knights are the new KBL champions. They beat DB Promy in the sixth game of the championship series to capture the trophy. DB Promy was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. SK Knights looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. REYSHAWN TERRY Defending champion Piratas de Quebradillas (BSN) tabbed experienced 34-year old American forward Reyshawn Terry (203-109kg-84, college: N.Carolina). He played recently at played at Mobis Phoebus in South Korean KBL league. In 57 games he averaged impressive 22.5ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.9apg and 1.4spg this season. KBL Round 5 of Finals. SK Knights earn third straight victory - 5 days ago
DB Promy - SK Knights 89-98 SK Knights upset DB Promy on the road to celebrate the third straight win in the Finals. DB Promy trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 28-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 89-98 at the end of the game.
