Mobis Phoebus completed their off-season moves acquiring Malcolm Thomas (206-F-88).

Mobis Phoebus announced today that they signed with Thomas on condition of 350,000 US dollars for upcoming season.

Thomas led his team San Diego state to the sweet sixteen in the NCAA tournament this year. He was trying to go to NBA but, he did not be drafted by any NBA teams. Now, he decided to start his professional career in Korea.

'He is a fast and athletic guy. He keeps the ball and can pass well with his size. That's why we want him.' Mobis Phoebus staff said.

Thomas will join to Mobis Phoebus by the middle of August.

24-year old center Seung-Hyun Lee (201-C-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for Goyang Orions and receives a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 36. He had the game-high 33 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Goyang Orions in his team's victory, helping them to beat Samsung Th. (#1, 27-13) 96-90. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Samsung Thunders (27-13) in Daegu on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Goyang Orions (26-14) 96-90. Samsung Thunders trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 25-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 90-96 at the end of the game.
