The most interesting game of round 17 was a home defeat of 4th placed Tong Whye (2-3) by third ranked SAFSA Trident (3-2) who outscored them by 20 points 70-50 in the game for the third place. SAFSA Trident maintains third place with 3-2 record having just two points less than leader An Ke, which they share with 3 other teams. Tong Whye at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with 5 other teams.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Singapore. Second ranked host SG Bball (4-1) smashed 4th placed Punggol Coast (2-3) 74-52. SG Bball have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 6 other teams. Punggol Coast lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams.
NBL top team - An Ke (4-1) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Xuan Feng (0-5) 69-45. An Ke have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-1 record, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Xuan Feng still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams.
The game in supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked Siglap (4-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Goodyear (1-4). Siglap smashed Goodyear 77-45. Siglap keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 6 other teams. Goodyear at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost.

The Singapore men's basketball team thrashed Laos 103-51 to win their second SEA Games Group B match at Stadium MABA in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Merlion Cup returns for a second year with six teams competing - 17 days ago
