NBL Round 7: Tong Whye beats SinKee by one after a very close game - Aug 25, 2016

The most exciting game of round 7 in the NBL took place in Singapore. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed SinKee (4-2) to sixth ranked Tong Whye (3-3) 68-67 on Wednesday evening. Tong Whye maintains sixth place with 3-3 record. SinKee at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Tong Whye are looking forward to face Min Yi (#8) in the next round. SinKee will play against Tampines WM and is hoping to win this game.
NBL top team - Adroit - TRT (6-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eleventh ranked Youth Select (0-5) 78-63. Adroit - TRT have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Youth Select at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Adroit - TRT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Youth Select will play against Siglap (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in was also quite interesting. Third ranked SAFSA (5-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Chong Chee (2-5). SAFSA managed to secure a 6-point victory 58-52 on Wednesday. SAFSA have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with SBPHK H. Loser Chong Chee keeps the seventh position with five games lost. SAFSA will meet at home Tagawa (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chong Chee will have a break next round.
The game in was also worth to mention about. Second ranked SBPHK H. (5-1) played at the court of 8th ranked Tagawa (1-4). SBPHK H. defeated Tagawa 45-31. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for SBPHK H.. They maintain second place with 5-1 record behind leader Adroit - TRT, which they share with SAFSA. Tagawa lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with four games lost. SBPHK H. will have a break next round. Tagawa will play against SAFSA (#3) and hope to win that game.
The game between fifth ranked Siglap (4-1) and 9th ranked Tampines WM (1-5) in on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Siglap outscored guests from 78-57. Siglap moved-up to fourth place. Loser Tampines WM dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Siglap will face bottom-ranked Youth Select (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tampines WM will play against SinKee and hope to win that game.

Chong Chee - SAFSA 52-58

The game in was also quite interesting. Third ranked SAFSA (5-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Chong Chee (2-5). SAFSA managed to secure a 6-point victory 58-52 on Wednesday. SAFSA have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with SBPHK H. Loser Chong Chee keeps the seventh position with five games lost. SAFSA will meet at home Tagawa (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chong Chee will have a break next round.

The Singapore men's basketball team thrashed Laos 103-51 to win their second SEA Games Group B match at Stadium MABA in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
