SBL Round 21: Al Ittihad edges Al Ahli Jeddah by one point - Apr 8, 2017

Sixth-ranked Al Ahli Jeddah (13-8) made lots of trouble for third ranked Al Ittihad (17-4) on Friday. Al Ittihad managed to secure only one-point victory 77-76. However their fans expected easier game. Defending champion maintains third place with 17-4 record behind leader Al Fateh. Al Ahli Jeddah at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Mecca. Eighth ranked Al Wehda (9-12) saved a 3-point derby victory at home edging 7th ranked Al Hilal (10-11) 66-63 on Friday evening. Al Wehda have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 9-12 record. Al Hilal at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost.
Leader Al Fateh delivered the eighteenth win on Friday night. This time they crushed 11th ranked Al Nahda (2-19) 82-41 in Al Khobar. Al Fateh have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 18-3 record, which they share with Al Nasr. Al Nahda lost thirteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 19 games lost.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Medina. Local Al Ansar (14-7) outscored 9th ranked Al Salam (5-16) 93-52. Al Ansar have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 14-7 record. Al Salam lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost.

In the last two games of round 21 Al Nasr defeated Al Arabi in Riyadh 79-67. Uhud beat Al Noor at home 70-59.

Al Arabi - Al Nasr 67-79

There was no surprise in Al-Qassim where 10th ranked Al Arabi (4-17) was defeated by second ranked Al Nasr (18-3) 79-67. Al Nasr have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Fateh. Al Arabi at the other side keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost.
