The round 17 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results.

SBL top team - Al Fateh (15-2) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat twelfth ranked Al Noor (1-16) in Mecca 82-67. Al Fateh maintains first place with 15-2 record, which they share with Al Nasr. Al Noor lost fourteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Al Fateh is looking forward to face Al Salam (#9) in Al-Awamiyah in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Noor will play on the road against Al Nahda in Al Khobar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game between third ranked Uhud (14-3) and 11th ranked Al Arabi (2-15) in Medina ended with biggest points difference. Uhud outscored guests from Al-Qassim 97-62. Uhud have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 14-3 record behind leader Al Fateh, which they share with Al Ittihad. Al Arabi lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Al Nahda. Uhud will play against Al Wehda (#8) in Mecca in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Al Arabi will play at home against Al Ahli Jeddah and hopes to get back on the winning track.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 17: Al Nasr smashed Al Salam on the road 95-72. Al Ansar won against Al Wehda on its own court 56-51. Al Hilal was outscored by Al Ittihad in Jeddah 88-63. Al Ahli Jeddah rolled over Al Nahda at home 85-60.

Al Salam - Al Nasr 72-95

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Al Nasr (15-2) crushed 9th ranked Al Salam (4-13) in Al-Awamiyah 95-72. Al Nasr have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Fateh. Al Salam lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 13 games lost. Al Nasr's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Riyadh Al Hilal.
