Antonio
Haymon
Hoops Club (Pepsi LBL) inked 29-year old American swingman Antonio Haymon (198-102kg-88, college: Lee). He played most recently at Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabian SBL league. In 5 games he averaged impressive 21.2ppg, 9.8rpg and 5.2apg last season. Haymon also played that season for Al Salam (also in SBL) where in 12 games he had very remarkable stats: 31.1ppg, 11.3rpg and 4.3apg. He helped them to win the league title (twice) despite they ended the regular season at the second place (twice).
Haymon received New Comer of the Year award back in 2011 at his college time.
Haymon is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Haymon has played previously professionally in Mexico, Romania (CS Dinamo Bucuresti), Peru (Regatas), Libya (Ahly Tripoli) and Thailand (Mono Vampire).
He attended Lee University until 2011 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
Haymon's game is described as: Antonio Haymon is a super-athletic combo forward with lock down defense and extreme endurance. With a 40 inch vertical, he has the ability to attack the rim and dunk over any defenders and finish strong around the rim. He has a solid work ethic and is constantly working to improve his game.
