SBL Round 2: Al Nasr defeats Al Ansar - Nov 19, 2016

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in SBL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Al Ansar (1-1) in Riyadh on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Al Nasr (2-0) 72-64.
The game in Riyadh was also worth to mention about. Uhud (2-0) played at the court of Al Hilal (0-2). Uhud managed to secure a 8-point victory 79-71.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Al Arabi (0-1) and Al Nahda (1-1), which took place in Al Khobar. Al Arabi lost to Al Nahda in a road game 48-62 on Friday.
The game between Al Noor (0-2) and Al Ittihad (2-0) in Mecca ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Jeddah outscored Al Noor 102-43.

In the last game of round 2 Al Ahli Jeddah beat Al Salam on the road 89-76.

Al Safa lands Shane Heyward, ex Guaymas - 6 days ago
Newly promoted Al Safa of Safwa (SBL) tabbed 25-year old American forward Shane Heyward (200-97kg-92, college: Columbus State). He played in the summer at Ostioneros de Guaymas in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 25 games he averaged 10.6ppg, 6.2rpg and 2.0bpg. Heyward helped them to make it to the semifinals. Taylor Brown (ex Real Betis) is a newcomer at Al Ahli Jeddah - 7 days ago
Al Ahli Jeddah (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American forward Taylor Brown (200-89, college: Bradley). He was tested by Real Betis in Spanish Liga Endesa. Brown ended the last season at Lietuvos rytas in Lithuanian LKL where in 17 games he recorded 8.0ppg and 4.5rpg. Brown helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. Deangelo Kirkland (ex Uhud) agreed terms with AB Ancud - 19 days ago
Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud (Liga Nacional) inked American forward Deangelo Kirkland (203-95kg, college: Columbus State, agency: Interperformances). He played most recently at Uhud in Saudi Arabian SBL league. In 15 games he recorded very impressive stats: 22.4ppg, 13.2rpg and 2.3apg last season. Kirkland helped them to make it to the semifinals.
