SBL Round 1: Al Hilal loses to Al Ansar - Nov 12, 2016

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Al Hilal (0-1) in Medina on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Al Ansar (1-0) 73-65. Al Ansar is looking forward to face Al Nasr (#4) in Riyadh in the next round. Al Hilal will play at home against Uhud (#5) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
An exciting game was played in Jeddah. Al Ahli Jeddah faced Al Noor. Host Al Ahli Jeddah (1-0) smashed guests from (0-1) 119-59. Al Ahli Jeddah will play against Al Salam (#11) in Al-Awamiyah in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Noor will play at home against Al Ittihad to get more than just one victory in their record.
A very close game took place in Mecca between Al Nasr and Al Wehda. Al Nasr (1-0) got a very close victory on the road over Al Wehda (0-1). Al Nasr managed to escape with a 1-point win 64-63 on Friday evening. Al Nasr will meet at home Al Ansar in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al Wehda will play against Al Fateh (#7) in Al Hasa and hope to win that game.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Jeddah. Local Al Ittihad (1-0) outscored Al Nahda (0-1) 115-40. Al Ittihad's next round opponent will be Al Noor (#10) and are hoping to win another game. Al Nahda will play against Al Arabi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 1 winless Al Salam lost to undefeated Uhud in Medina 44-80.

Defending champion BC Igokea Aleksandrovac (Division I) landed 25-year old American guard Desi Washington (188-83kg-92, college: St.Peter's, agency: Interperformances).
