Lacy
Al Hilal Riyadh (SBL) inked 28-year old American forward Dominique Lacy (201-95kg-89, college: NC-Wilmington). He played in the summer at Pioneros de Los Mochis in Mexican CIBACOPA. In only one game he had 7 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Lacy also spent pre-season at Garra Canera de Navolato (also in CIBACOPA) that year where in two games he recorded 13.5ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.0apg.
His team won Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Fahed Cup in 2013.
Lacy is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Lacy has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Isa Town and Al-Nweidrat), Colombia (Tayronas), Kosovo (Trepca), Luxembourg (BC Mess), Saudi Arabia (Al Nasr, Al Ansar, Al Nahda and Al Salam) and UBA (Atlanta Legends).
He attended University of N.Carolina-Wilmington until 2010 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball.
Lacy's game is described as: Dominique is a 6'7', 210 pound explosive athlete who will create high energy and excitement for any team. His energy and athleticism make him a well-rounded player who can be effective in a variety of ways. Dominique has showcased the ability to score, rebound and defend at both the collegiate and professional levels. He is a skilled rebounder and high flyer that can finish around the rim. He is also an affective mid-range and three-point shooter. During the 2008-2009 season, Dominique led the team in rebounding at 5.9 rebounds per game and scored a career high 23 points against Appalachian State University in the season opener. During this season, he recorded five 20 point games, four double-doubles, and started 30-32 games during the season. During the 2009-2010 season, Dominique took on the role of becoming a primary defensive stopper for the Seahawks and played this role with tenacity and dedication. He posted a season high of 19 points against VMI, and finished the season with an average of 5.5 points and 2.9 rebounds. In February 2011, Dominique signed with BC Mess. During his first year with BC Mess (Luxembourg), Dominique averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds per game.
