The biggest surprise of round 8 was guest Al Ahli's (4-4) road victory over 6th ranked Al Hilal (3-5) 79-69 on Thursday evening. Al Ahli moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Al Nahdha. Al Hilal at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Al Qadisiya. Al Ahli is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Al Nasr (#12) in Riyadh in the next round where they are favorite. Al Hilal will play on the road against the league's leader Al Ittihad (#1) in Jeddah and is hoping to win this game.
Another exciting game was played in Medina between third ranked Al Wehda and one of their biggest challengers Uhud where Al Wehda (7-1) beat Uhud (6-2) on the road 88-82. Al Wehda have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Ansar. Uhud at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Al Wehda will play against league's second-placed Al Ansar in Medina in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Uhud will play on the road against Al Fath in Al Hasa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 8 Al Nahdha crushed Al Khaleej in Al Khobar 70-46. Al Ansar beat Al Fath at home 77-69.


Al Khaleej - Al Nahdha 46-70

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Al Khaleej (1-7) was crushed at home by seventh ranked Al Nahdha (4-4) 70-46. Al Nahdha have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Al Ahli. Newly promoted Al Khaleej keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Al Nahdha's next round opponent will be Al Jubail (#11) on the road where they are favorite. Al Khaleej will play against Al Qadisiya in Al Khubar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Al Jubail - Al Qadisiya 58-94
