Premier League Round 4: Change at the top of the standings - Dec 3, 2012

Premier League round 4 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader Al Fath (3-1) against top-ranked Al Ittihad (4-0) 65-61 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Al Fath. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Al Ittihad have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Uhud. Al Fath at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Al Ansar and Al Wehda. They were replaced at the leadership position by Al Ittihad. Al Fath will play next round against Al Khaleej trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Al Ittihad will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked Al Nahdha in Al Khobar.
Another exciting game for Al Wehda (3-1) which played in Jeddah against one of their biggest challengers Al Ahli (2-2). Sixth ranked Al Wehda won 63-58. Al Wehda moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Ansar and Al Fath. Al Ahli at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Al Wehda will play against Al Jubail (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Ahli will play against Al Qadisiya (#6) in Al Khubar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Al Jubail is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to seventh ranked Al Ansar (3-1) 84-42 on Thursday evening. Al Ansar moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Wehda and Al Fath. Loser Al Jubail still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Al Khaleej. Al Ansar will meet at home Al Hilal (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Al Jubail will play against Al Wehda in Mecca and hopes to get finally their first victory.
