Lebanon U18-Saudi Arabia U18 89:78

Lebanon ended up on the 7th place at the 22nd Asia U18 Championship. The team overcame Saudi Arabia U18 89:78 in the first game of the Final Day.
Lebanon started the game with 21-16, but Saudi Arabia replied with 22-15 in the second frame to take the lead at the halftime. Only due to the second half the Lebanese team managed to seal the victory. They produced 26-14 in the third period and finished the game with 27-26. Wael Arakji (192-G-94) made the last two free throws for the final success.
Wael Arakji top-scored for the winners with 31 points, while Hanna Nemer (177-G-94) and Elie Chamoun (193-F-94) posted 16 each. Ali Mezher (182-PG-94) followed them with 9 points in a win. Waheed Faqihi (185-F-94) and Nassir Abojalas (195-F-94) finished the game with 19 points each. Safwan Mohammed (203-C-94) notched 14, whilst Mohammed Alhosawe (173-G-94) and Asslam Bafarat (197-F/C-94) had 10 each.

As Seeb (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American swingman Antonio Haymon (198-102kg-88, college: Lee). He played last season at Al Salam in Saudi Arabian SBL league, played few games with Al Khor in Qatari league that year. The other team he played shortly was Hoops Club in Lebanese Pepsi LBL where in 6 games he recorded 13.8ppg, 8.3rpg, 1.5apg, 1.0spg and 1.0bpg last season. Defending champion Al Ittihad Jeddah (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old American small forward Justin Hawkins (203-100kg-85, college: New Mexico State). He started the season at Champville in Lebanese Pepsi LBL. In 9 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.8spg this season. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with derby games, favorites losing the games and even winless team recording their first victory. The most exciting game of round 6 in the SBL took place in Jeddah.
