Mahamed Naser (191-F-97) leads Bahrain over Saudi Arabia in Day 5 of the 22nd Asia U18 Championship. He nailed 25 points as Bahrain grabbed important 75:72 win over the opponents. Bahrain improved to 1-3 record to keep the chances alive for the Quarterfinals, while Saudi Arabia fell at 0-4 record.
It was a real battle for the initial win in Group F. Both teams scored 15 points each in the first period, but then Bahrain erupted with 26-11 in the second frame for 15-point advantage at the halftime. Moreover they added 26-18 in the third period but could hardly win the game. Safwan Mohammed (203-C-94) reduced to 3 points at the end, while Waheed Faqihi (185-F-94) could not tie the game.
Mohammed Buallay (185-F-95) poured in 18 points and Ali Sayed Hasan (182-F-94) scored 13. Ali Hassan Shukralla collected 10 points and 11 rebounds in the winning effort. Nassir Abojalas (195-F-94) finished the game with massive 25 points and 20 rebounds, whilst Safwan Mohammed had 16 points and 11 boards. Waheed Faqihi notched 11 and Mohammed Alhosawe (173-G-94) poured in 10.

Here is the last round review presented by ESL. Leader Al Fateh delivered the twelfth win on Friday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Al Wehda (3-11) 68-59 in Mecca. Al Fateh (12-2) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position, which they share with Uhud. Al Wehda lost third consecutive game. SHANE RECTOR Uhud Medina (SBL) signed 23-year old American guard Shane Rector (188-82kg-94). He just graduated from Utah State University (NCAA). In 28 games he had 8.0ppg, 2.1rpg, 2.4apg and 1.0spg last season. Rector was voted All-Southern Conference 1st Team back in 2015 at his college time. Rector has played previously for another Saudi Arabian team St.Raymond. As mentioned above he is just out of the college and it will be his first season as a professional player. Torren Jones (ex Glasgow Rocks) is a newcomer at Uhud - 9 days ago
Uhud Medina (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 23-year old American forward Torren Jones (206-107kg-94, college: William Penn) after he was tested there shortly. He signed with Glasgow Rocks in British BBL league by began of season but he couldn't get there due of work paper. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Jones' college team won HAAC Tournament in 2017.
