Taiwan U18-Saudi Arabia U18 82:41

Taiwan successfully started Group F campaign as the team smashed Saudi Arabia in the opener of Day 4. Taiwan looked too good for the opponents and won 82:41. Taiwan improved to 3-0 record in Group F, while Saudi Arabia fell at 0-3 record.
Taiwan won the opening period 21-7 and added 17-13 in the second frame. The second half also belonged to the winning side that produced two victories in the last two quarters. Taiwan won the third period 21-11 and finished the game with 23-10 in the last stanza.
Huang Tsun-Han (193-F-94) top-scored for the winners with 14 points, while Lin Kuan-Chun (184-G-95) and Huang Hung-Han (189-F-94) had 11 each. Lee Chia-Jui (200-C-94) followed them with 10 points in a win. Mohammed Alhosawe (173-G-94) replied with 14 points in the losing effort and Nassir Abojalas (195-F-94) collected 10 points and 11 rebounds. Safwan Mohammed (203-C-94) and Asslam Bafarat (197-F/C-94) delivered 6 points apiece.

Newly promoted Al Noor Mecca (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 25-year old American forward Antwan Wilkerson (201-100kg-91, college: Johnson C. Smith). He started the season at Al Ittihad in Bahrain Premier League and was second best scorer in the league there. The last season Wilkerson played at Al Salam. SBL Round 13: Al Nasr defeats Al Ansar in the closest game of the week - 13 days ago
The most exciting game of round 13 in the SBL took place in Medina. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Al Ansar (6-7) to second ranked Al Nasr (10-2) 69-66 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Despite that victory Al Nasr went down to fourth position due to points difference. Al Ansar at the other side keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Hoops Club (Pepsi LBL) inked 29-year old American swingman Antonio Haymon (198-102kg-88, college: Lee). He played most recently at Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabian SBL league. In 5 games he averaged impressive 21.2ppg, 9.8rpg and 5.2apg last season. Haymon also played that season for Al Salam (also in SBL) where in 12 games he had very remarkable stats: 31.1ppg, 11.3rpg and 4.3apg.
