Saudi Arabia U18 - Kazakhstan U18 76:65

Saudi Arabia earned the first win at the U18 Asia Championship. They held off Kazakhstan to claim the third position in Group D. Kazakhstan remained winless and would play in classification round. Nassir Abo Jalas (192-F-94) posted 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia pulled ahead early in the game. They ensured a 22:15 lead after ten minutes. Saudi Arabia maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They ensured a 44:35 halftime lead. Kazakhstan revived the intrigue in the third quarter. They cut the deficit at 2-point mark heading into the final stanza. But Saudi Arabia returned into drivers seat in the final quarter. They held their opponents to 9 points and rallied to the victory at the end. Waheed Faqihi (185-F-94) scored 18 points, while Asslam Bafarat (197-F/C-94) had 12 points for the winners. Alexey Kurochka (185-G-94) came up with 19 points for Kazakhstan. Alymzhan Maxutov (183-G-94) netted 17 points in the loss.

TAYLOR BROWN Defending champion Halcones de Ciudad Obregon (CIBACOPA) agreed terms with 28-year old American forward Taylor Brown (200-89, college: Bradley). It is actually his comeback to Halcones de Ciudad Obregon as he has played here before. Brown just played at played at Al Ahli Jeddah in Saudi Arabian SBL league. Al-Nahdha beat Al Noor for a Saudi Basketball League Div 1 2017/18 title - 11 days ago
Al-Nahdha beat Al Noor 47-46 for a Saudi Basketball League Div 1 2017/18 title. They grabbed a 15-11 lead but saved only a narrow 26-25 advantage at the halftime. Al Noor replied with another 14-11 rally in the third quarter for a 2-point lead after three periods. Al-Nahdha meanwhile closed the game with the final 10-7 run to seal the victory.   [read more]
SBL Round 17: Uhud beats Al Ittihad in the most crucial game of the week - 13 days ago
Here is the last round review presented by ESL. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Medina. First ranked Uhud faced 4th placed Al Ittihad. Host Uhud (15-2) defeated guests from Jeddah (11-6) 89-84. Uhud have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-2 record.
