Saudi Arabia U18 - Kazakhstan U18 76:65

Saudi Arabia earned the first win at the U18 Asia Championship. They held off Kazakhstan to claim the third position in Group D. Kazakhstan remained winless and would play in classification round. Nassir Abo Jalas (192-F-94) posted 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia pulled ahead early in the game. They ensured a 22:15 lead after ten minutes. Saudi Arabia maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They ensured a 44:35 halftime lead. Kazakhstan revived the intrigue in the third quarter. They cut the deficit at 2-point mark heading into the final stanza. But Saudi Arabia returned into drivers seat in the final quarter. They held their opponents to 9 points and rallied to the victory at the end. Waheed Faqihi (185-F-94) scored 18 points, while Asslam Bafarat (197-F/C-94) had 12 points for the winners. Alexey Kurochka (185-G-94) came up with 19 points for Kazakhstan. Alymzhan Maxutov (183-G-94) netted 17 points in the loss.

TBL newcomer Istanbulspor Beylikduzu added to their roster 31-year old American power forward Brandon Brown (201-109kg-85, college: Cal State - San Bernardino). He played last season at Al Ahli Jeddah in Saudi Arabian SBL league. Brown managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. He helped them to make it to the final. Donte Greene (ex Uhud) agreed terms with Leones de Santo Domingo - 1 month ago

Leones de Santo Domingo (LNB) inked 28-year old American forward Donte Greene (206-103kg-88, college: Syracuse). He played most recently at Uhud in Saudi Arabian SBL league. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Greene also played that season for Al Sharjah (D1) in UAE league. In 2008 he was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) in first round (28th overall).
