Iran U18 - Saudi Arabia U18 86:54

Iran registered the second straight win at the start of U18 Asia Championship. They defeated Saudi Arabia in Group D. Behnam Yakhchali (191-G-95) scored 31 points to pace the winners.
Iran cleared off in the starting quarter. They grabbed a 23:11 lead ten minutes into the game. Iran maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. They ensured a 40:25 halftime advantage. Iran did not slow after the big break. They opened a 19-point lead at the final intermission. Iran limited Saudi Arabia to just 9 points in the fourth quarter and rolled to the victory at the end. Vahid Dalirzahan (199-SF-95) posted 15 points, while Hossein Rahmati (204-C-93) added 10 points and 10 boards for the winners. Waheed Faqihi (185-F-94) answered with 18 points for Saudi Arabia. Nassir Abo Jalas (192-F-94) netted 17 points in the loss.

TBL newcomer Istanbulspor Beylikduzu added to their roster 31-year old American power forward Brandon Brown (201-109kg-85, college: Cal State - San Bernardino). He played last season at Al Ahli Jeddah in Saudi Arabian SBL league. Brown managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. He helped them to make it to the final. Leones de Santo Domingo (LNB) inked 28-year old American forward Donte Greene (206-103kg-88, college: Syracuse). He played most recently at Uhud in Saudi Arabian SBL league. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Greene also played that season for Al Sharjah (D1) in UAE league. In 2008 he was drafted by Memphis Grizzlies (NBA) in first round (28th overall).
